What People's Say About Place

OMG! Amazing BBQ. Just an old trailer on the side of the road with a smoker in another trailer behind it! Nothing to look at and easy to miss but PLEASE DON’T! I heard about this place from some ladies I met in a knitting group in Apalach. Since hubby and I had a reason to come to Port St. Joe, we decided to see what all their fuss was about. I got the butt dinner which comes with two sides. Hubby got the rib dinner also with two side. I got green beans for both and tasty they were. Not sweet for sure which is my pet peeve. Hubby got Cole slaw and baked beans. Bread and sauce on the side round out the dinner. I loved the bbq butt but my husband’s ribs stole the show. Next time, and there will be a next time, I’ll get ribs! Each order had a lot of food and was priced well. No place inside to sit but four picnic tables behind the trailer for sitting in nice weather. Luckily, it was just that today.

Basically a good truck, which is okay, and they have picnic tables in the back. Was recommended by one of the locals we met while atteslnding mermaid festival. Everything was really good, pork was good, especially when adding their sauce, which is thin and delicious. Enjoyed the big pieces of potato in the potato salad, letting us know it was truly made in house, beans were good as well. Ribs were large and fell off the bone and the chicken was amazing! Do not leave without some banana pudding!! That brought me all the way back to my childhood! Portions were awesome and the ladies inside were too!

To me this place is what makes PSJ one of my favorite places in Florida. I just drove 16 hours to get here and stop to get something so I didn't have to cook. They were closing and I asked if I was to late. I said I'd take anything. Rib if they still had them. And what I got was more love then if I'd have stop at my family's house before making my way home. This is not a commercial business. It's a family run peace of heaven that I don't think will change. It's not just about recipe. It's the way things are prepared. The ribs weren't smothered in sauce but smoked to perfection. I tried them plan and found them perfectly cooked. And when I dabbed them in sauce it got even better. The coleslaw and potato salad complimented the ribs just perfectly. I know I was give extra preparations. And was sent home feeling like I was a long lost cousin returning home. One order was enough to feed me for a couple day. And the people who took care of me were generation's of family from older to young. When you come to PSJ the people are going to treat you like family. And there's no better example then this place here. Thank you. Cousin.

Good. Definitely worth a try. Not overly expensive for what you get and it is quick serve. However, this place is also something that you could simply replicate at home. This is a very popular place with locals and it will run out of some sides and even ribs at times.

You can search world over no better food and customer satisfaction than at Gants BBQ. The employees are full of PERSONALITY which means so much. You will happy you chose GANTS LOVE THE PEOPLE AT GANTS BECSUSE THEY TREAT YOU LOKE FAMILY.

Super nice people and the ribs are the best you'll have around here! Good prices, fast service. I can't recommend enough.

We stop here after kayaking with hungry tummies. The service is very friendly and the food is out of this world. We park and eat at the picnic tables that are always clean and ready for you. The umbrellas are a perfect shade for eating and conversation while enjoying the beautiful atmosphere. We love the experience and the price isn't bad either. We always feel like we got a good deal for our money.

Awesome!! Hubby and I shared a plate and still had leftovers. Ribs, chicken, and pulled pork pulse sides
